The steps

Write down the pelt list
- Where: Pearson's wagon at camp
Open Pearson's CRAFTING UPGRADES > SATCHEL. You need these PERFECT pelts: deer x7, elk x2, buck, badger, squirrel, panther, beaver, bison, cougar, boar, wolf, iguana, rabbit and raccoon. Legend of the East itself needs 1 perfect deer, 1 perfect cougar and 1 perfect wolf pelt.
- Open Crafting Upgrades > Satchel
- Note every pelt you need

Hunt the Legendary Buck first
- Where: Big Valley near Black Bone Forest / Mount Shann
- Weapon or tool: Carbine Repeater (the video's gun)
- Ammo or bait: Regular repeater cartridges
First hunt the Legendary Buck - its trinket raises the pelt quality you get when hunting. He lives in Big Valley near Black Bone Forest, by Little Creek River / Mount Shann (map at 0:48).
- Ride to the Legendary Buck area
- Inspect the buck fur and dung clues
- Kill the Legendary Buck
- Carry it to your horse

Craft the Buck Antler Trinket at a fence
- Where: Any fence
Go to a fence and craft the BUCK ANTLER TRINKET from the legendary buck antler.
- Open the fence shop

Cougar and boar in Big Valley
- Where: Big Valley, Black Bone Forest
- Weapon or tool: Carbine Repeater
- Ammo or bait: Regular repeater cartridges
The cougar and boar are in this area of Big Valley (Black Bone Forest, below Mount Shann). The video switches between the Varmint Rifle and the Carbine Repeater.
- Kill the cougar cleanly
- Skin: Perfect Cougar Pelt
- Hitch horse, call and kill a wild boar
- Skin: Perfect Boar Pelt
Watch out: The cougar drops the video to 25% health - keep a tonic ready.

Beaver - always spawns here
- Where: Near Owanjila / Monto's Rest (map at 6:50)
- Weapon or tool: Varmint Rifle
- Ammo or bait: .22 caliber
This beaver ALWAYS spawns at this spot near Owanjila / Monto's Rest. Use the VARMINT RIFLE.
- Go to the spot
- Call the beaver
- Shoot it with the varmint rifle
- Skin: Perfect Beaver Pelt

Raccoon near Monto's Rest
- Where: Near Monto's Rest
- Weapon or tool: Varmint Rifle
Raccoons are everywhere, but the video found this one near Monto's Rest / Hawks Eye Creek.

Buck, squirrel and elk near Wallace Station
- Where: Little Creek River / Wallace Station
- Weapon or tool: Varmint Rifle (squirrel)
Quite a few animals on the list are here, around Little Creek River / Wallace Station / Cattail Pond. Call and kill a white-tail BUCK. The SQUIRREL needs the VARMINT RIFLE. The elk is in the same area.

Badger

At the badger location, study and call the badger, then switch to the VARMINT RIFLE (not the Springfield) and shoot it.

Bison herd by the Heartland Oil Fields
- Where: Heartlands near the Oil Fields

There is a herd of bison here, in the Heartlands near the Oil Fields / Twin Stack Pass. Use the Springfield Rifle.

Iguanas on the island near Rhodes
- Where: Island near Rhodes
- Weapon or tool: Varmint Rifle
There are lots of iguanas on this island near Rhodes / Flatneck (Kamassa River). Spot one with binoculars, then shoot it with the VARMINT RIFLE.

Panther with predator bait
- Where: Panther spot shown at 15:00

At the panther location drop PREDATOR BAIT, crouch and stay still. When the panther comes, study it and shoot.
