Herbalist 9: all 43 herbs (Chapter 3)

Pick one of every herb - the route the video uses, finishing with the New Austin herbs using the buggy trick so the sniper cannot hit Arthur.

The steps

1. Herbalist 9: start in the first herb-rich area

   • Where: See 22:54

   Herbalist 9 = pick ALL 43 herbs. Herbs picked before do not count - pick them again. The video starts in this area: bulrush, milkweed, hummingbird sage, chanterelle, ginseng.

2. Golden currant, wintergreen berry, violet snowdrop

   Still in the same area: golden currant, evergreen huckleberry, wintergreen berry and violet snowdrop.

3. Ram's head, wild mint, oregano

   Ram's head mushroom, then wild mint and oregano a little bit away from it.

6. Herbs you may have to fight for

   You might have to fight people to get to these (Alaskan ginseng, English mace).

7. New Austin: get a buggy

   • Where: Leaving from Blackwater
   • Weapon or tool: A buggy (stolen wagon)

   The last herbs are in New Austin, where a sniper shoots Arthur. The video strongly recommends a BUGGY (other methods work). Leave from Blackwater.

8. Mask on, camera follow off, stay off the road

   Put your MASK on and switch CAMERA FOLLOW off in settings. Do not drive ON the road - stay just beside it.

   • Drive just off the road

9. At the bridge: set the camera

   As you get close to the bridge, adjust the camera like the video. Remember YOU are the sniper - if you can see Arthur's head, the sniper can too. Use photo mode to check.

10. Herb 1: tilt the camera right and jump out

    Tilt the camera to face the right of the buggy. Do not show Arthur's head through the hole. Re-adjust as it zooms in. JUMP OUT after the sniper shot, pick the herb, jump back in.

11. Drive on the train tracks

    To avoid lawmen, drive along the train tracks. You will not get run over.

12. Herb 2 at Benedict Pass

    • Where: Benedict Pass, New Austin

    Second location in New Austin, Benedict Pass. Tilt the camera right again and jump out after the shot. If his head shows, quickly cover it like at 42:15.
